We know that honing your skills is important to your career growth and satisfaction on the job, and we recognize that fulfilled, knowledgeable professionals make our teams stronger. Our cadre of compassionate, competent people working at the top of their field has built our network into one of the most respected healthcare systems in the nation. To continue our upward progress together, we've created numerous opportunities for you to become more proficient in your chosen career.
While specific educational programs will vary from site to site, the sections below provide an overview of the possibilities available to our professionals:
- Tuition Reimbursement/Onsite Courses:
Tuition reimbursement is available upon approval for classes related to your work. (Actual amounts will vary, depending on facility.) Many facilities also offer ongoing education programs covering a variety of topics.
- Nursing Transition and New Grad Programs:
Many CHW facilities offer programs that allow nurses to explore new specialty areas. Designed to enhance your knowledge and broaden your career possibilities, these programs also help us continually enhance patient care.
For new grad nurses, facilities may propose special preceptorship programs that ease the transition from school to hospital. Often 2-3 months in length, these customized programs prepare nurses to be proficient in targeted specialty areas.
- ADN/RN to BSN Programs:
An accredited distance-learning program available at some facilities allows nurses with an ADN or RN degree to work toward a BSN without leaving the hospital site. These programs include access to onsite and teleconferenced faculty for extra support, and often provide tuition aid.
- CHWConnect.com:
Professionals at all our facilities can hone their skills on a daily basis by consulting our proprietary website, CHWConnect.com. Among the wealth of resources that help you provide the most up-to-date patient care are:
- Daily nursing, pharmacy, and medical updates
- Best practices on management, physician, and clinical issues
- The Lexi-Comp clinical reference library (CRL) containing clinical databases, interaction and overdose information, and medical search capabilities
- Access to renowned medical texts, clinical journals, and patient education handouts in Spanish and English
- A calendar of upcoming care management education programs and conferences
- Archives of care management education programs
