About Us

Our Work Environment

St. Joseph's is consistently recognized as a Best Place to Work by the Phoenix Business Journal and is the only Valley hospital to be named to the list  seven consecutive years. St. Joseph's has also been named a Top 100 Best Place to Work in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare, a Top 25 Workplace for Women by Arizona Woman magazine and a top hospital in Ranking Arizona. They came to this conclusion after hearing from our employees. Here is what they had to say about working at St. Joseph's:

  • "What I do truly matters."
  • "I look forward to coming to work."
  • "People really care about each other here."
  • "I'm proud of all I accomplish here."
  • "I'm proud to tell people where I work."

But our current employees are not the only ones who feel this way. In fact, some of our units have a waiting list of people that would like to join our team.

Our Hometown

There are many wonderful things that the Phoenix, Arizona lifestyle is known for. Like sunny weather—over 300 days a year and exhilarating outdoor activities such as golfing, tennis, hiking and biking. The southwestern culture also offers many museums and galleries and unique restaurants and shopping venues.

But there is much about living in Phoenix that you may not know. Phoenix is the country's sixth largest city with a variety of cultural activities to match its size. Phoenix is also one of the few cities that are home to teams in all four major professional sports. And Phoenix is just a short drive from majestic mountains and lakes offering every kind of recreational option imaginable, including skiing (water and snow), boating, fishing, and camping.

Yet, with all it has to offer, Phoenix still manages to maintain an exceptionally reasonable cost of living. It's no wonder the "Valley of the Sun" is one of the country's most desirable places to work, play and live.
