Welcome to St. John’s Regional Medical Center

Working at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, California, you’re part of a highly respected team. Established in 1912 by the Sisters of Mercy at the request of Reverend John Laubacher and community leaders, St. John’s has grown into a 266-bed major medical center caring for over 100,000 patients each year. Here, employees are valued, and patients come first.

Quality of life is important to you, and it’s hard to beat the beauty of California’s coast. Living between Malibu and Santa Barbara, you find limitless year-round recreation and are a short drive from California’s wine country and a boat ride away from the Channel Islands. It’s hard to resist the Mediterranean climate, 20 miles of coastline and the clear air and open spaces of California’s “Strawberry Coast.” This is a place where your career thrives, and so do you.

Our reputation as a respected provider of cardiovascular services is well established. In oncology, the St. John’s Cancer Center, affiliated with UCLA’s Jonsson Cancer Center, is an amazing resource for treatment and support. The hospital's centers of excellence include the California Neuroscience Institute and the Cancer Center of Ventura County, and the hospital is known for its cardiovascular and rehabilitation services. Our partner hospital, St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital, offers the only hospital-based hyperbaric medicine and wound treatment center in western Ventura County. Together, we form the largest acute care health organization in Ventura County and were jointly awarded the “2009 Ventura County Family-Friendly Employer” award.
