Welcome to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, Red Bluff, California

Outstanding healthcare and compassionate service–it’s a combination you’ve always aspired to in your career. At St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, we’ve been providing this kind of care to the people of Red Bluff, California, for more than 100 years. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1906 with the financial support of Elizabeth Kraft, widow of a prominent businessman, we advocate caring for the disenfranchised and those with special needs. You are proud to be part of that mission.

Your home of St. Elizabeth is in a historic area of the northern state. The river runs through it and is a central feature of downtown Red Bluff, which offers local shopping and dining. You and your family enjoy recreation such as fishing, bird watching, hiking, snow and waterskiing, cycling, ranching and horseback riding. Future Farmers of America and 4-H are a part of the family-friendly atmosphere. Small-town life with a big-hearted career–you have that at St. Elizabeth’s.

It’s rewarding. St. Elizabeth is a rural 76-bed acute care facility (all private rooms) with 470 employees, 68 medical staff and 100 volunteers–all so focused on the community’s well-being that we have one of the lowest length of stays in the CHW system. We’ve built a reputation for excellence in orthopedics, family-centered maternity care and emergency services. The chance to work in this caring and close-knit setting, one-on-one with patients, is what draws you here.
