Being a nurse at Dominican is like being back home. I started at Dominican in a clerical position. I'd been thinking about a nursing career, so I began taking night classes at Cabrillo. Dominican paid for my tuition and some textbooks. Another Dominican program helped me start full-time on my career path. I earned my degree from Cabrillo last summer and began my nursing career at Dominican, with a focus on cardiovascular care. We have an excellent team of nurses so I'm gaining experience and knowledge at a higher level here. Everyone is friendly, family-oriented. Right now I'm concentrating on my profession, but I plan to return to college for an advanced degree. And it's a comfort knowing Dominican will support me in these efforts through tuition reimbursement.
