Our training policy is designed to ensure that our staff is the most qualified, capable, and fulfilled team in healthcare. To this end, all eligible full-time employees can receive tuition reimbursement funds for approved courses that will improve their on-the-job skills.
In addition, we've developed an array of in-house programs to help our nurses gain new knowledge that will advance their careers and strengthen their ability to enhance patient care:
- Our Specialty Transition Program gives experienced nurses an opportunity to explore specialties outside their current disciplines, with training paid by the hospital.
- An ADN to BSN Program allows nurses with ADN degree to work toward BSN designation through an accredited distance-learning curriculum. This program includes study assistance from both onsite and teleconferenced faculty. In addition, CHSB tuition reimbursement funds can be applied to offset program costs.
- The New Grad Program helps newly graduated nurses make the often-difficult transition from nursing school to the real world of hospital work. It provides new grads an individual preceptor for 8 to 12 weeks, who will train them in the skills needed for nursing in a specialty unit.
