Our Mission Integration Team, composed of employees from different departments, arranges a variety of activities for employees and their families, such as Friday nights at the ballpark, a day at the Los Angeles Zoo, or an evening of music and fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl. And our bimonthly in-house newsletter, staffed by employee volunteers from throughout the hospital, chronicles some of the on-the-job activities that lighten our workday. Recent features included employee recognition awards, an ice cream social, a program that lets coworkers give impromptu recognition to colleagues that go the extra mile, a day in the life of our Med/Surg department, and profiles of some of our employees. Our Hometown San Bernardino is one of the most beautiful places in southern California's Inland Empire. Here you'll find a relaxed lifestyle, fabulous climate, and all of the amenities of a big city with a hometown atmosphere. For entertainment downtown, visit the California Theatre, a turn-of-the-century house that puts on first-run productions; shopping malls; and a restaurant row. Or if you're looking for outdoor recreation, an hour's drive will lead you to a wealth of choices. Try hiking, skiing, or camping in the mountains, swimming, surfing, or sunbathing at the beach, or fishing and water-skiing at Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear Lake. |
